About MP3 BlogsRight now there are hundreds of music nerds poring over the latest-release albums from artists you've never heard of before. Thankfully, some of them blog about the amazing music they find and graciously post the songs for download. These blogs are typically known as MP3 Blogs (see more info here).
Some recommended music blogs:
Thanks to the genii of the Internet, most blogs are published in a format that is easy to subscribe to, like a daily newspaper delivery. This format is called RSS, or really simple syndication (more on RSS here). An individual subscription is usually called an RSS feed.
(Incidentally, RSS feeds come in a few different flavors, such as RSS 2.0, RSS 1.0, Atom, etc. Any of these are useful syndication formats for Music Buddy.)
About Music BuddyMusic Buddy is a program that allows you to subscribe to MP3 Blogs via their RSS feeds and automatically download any new music that's posted. Music Buddy comes prepared with a number of default feeds you can subscribe to, but you can add or remove any music blog feed at any time. If you are familiar with RSS feed readers, you can think of Music Buddy as an RSS music downloader - it operates in much the same way.
The posting of MP3s is under the control of the blogger, who is therefore responsible for any licensing issues. You will not have to pay for any of the music you download with Music Buddy. When you download a song, it's yours for good and can be transferred to any other devices or computers you have.
